08:17 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lightspeed Commerce ( LSPD ) , a unified omnichannel platform powering retail and hospitality businesses in over 100 countries, announced Thursday the appointments of Sameer Samat and Odilon Almeida to its board, effective October 1.

Samat is currently president of the Android Ecosystem at Google and Almeida is currently managing principal of AJ Holdings and operating partner at Advent International.

The company said Patrick Pichette and Rob Williams will be stepping down from the board effective September 30 and December 31, respectively.

Shares of the company closed at $16.77 Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
