11:31 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lindblad Expeditions ( LIND ) said Tuesday that it has acquired Wineland-Thomson Adventures via its subsidiary Natural Habitat.

The company added that the deal will help expand its footprint in and around East Africa and its consumer base.

Wineland-Thomson operations will continue as stand-alone offerings, the company said, adding that the adventure travel group's resources will be used to meet the growing demand for immersive safaris.

The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Shares of Lindblad Expeditions ( LIND ) fell more than 7% in recent trading activity.
