Linde's Q1 Adjusted Earnings Rise, Sales Fall; Q2 Outlook Issued, 2024 EPS Guidance Updated

07:21 AM EDT, 05/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Linde ( LIN ) reported Q1 adjusted earnings Thursday of $3.75 per diluted share, up from $3.42 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $3.67.

Sales for the quarter ended March 31 were $8.10 billion, down from $8.19 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $8.38 billion.

The company said it expects Q2 adjusted EPS of $3.70 to $3.80. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $3.90.

Linde ( LIN ) said it now expects 2024 adjusted EPS of $15.30 to $15.60 compared with its prior guidance of $15.25 to $15.65. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $15.55.

Linde ( LIN ) shares were down more than 4% in recent premarket activity.
