07:25 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lion Electric Co ( LEV ) , a manufacturer of all-electric medium and heavy-duty urban vehicles, said Thursday that it has secured the final certification for its heavy-duty battery pack, the LionBattery HD, a lithium-ion battery pack designed for the company's purpose-built heavy-duty trucks.

These 105 kilowatt hours (kWh) battery packs have been designed to power the Lion8 Tractor, an all-electric Class 8 commercial truck.

The company's shares edged up 2.7% in Canada yesterday.
