12:49 PM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lithium Americas ( LAC ) shares were down more than 5% in recent Thursday trading following its Q2 results.
Earlier, the company reported a net loss $0.06 per diluted share in Q2, widening from a loss of $0.03 a year earlier.
Lithium Americas ( LAC ) is developing Thacker Pass lithium mine project in Humboldt County in northern Nevada.
Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Evans said the company continues to focus on de-risking both the project schedule and capital costs.
"Our teams continue to work toward limiting the effect of any potential tariff or trade disputes on our construction supply chain," Evans said. "We continue to target mechanical completion of Phase 1 in late 2027."
