08:53 AM EDT, 03/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lithium Ionic ( LTHCF ) said Wednesday that it has executed multi-year offtake agreements with two lithium-ion battery materials producers in China.
The company will supply a combined 170,000 tonnes per annum of spodumene concentrate at a floor price of US$1,000 per tonne (with no price ceiling), under five-year binding take-or-pay offtake agreements to Yahua Group and Grand Chen, two integrated counterparties serving tier-one battery and EV manufacturers, including BYD. The pricing structure provides downside protection while maintaining full exposure to lithium price upside, a statement noted.
The spodumene concentrate will be sourced from Lithium Ionic's ( LTHCF ) Bandeira project in Brazil. Yahua and Grand Chen will provide Lithium Ionic ( LTHCF ) with US$20 million in pre-payment facilities, which are subject to definitive agreements being signed. The facilities will be aligned with Bandeira Project being advanced toward a construction decision.
