05:39 PM EDT, 09/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lixte Biotechnology ( LIXT ) said late Wednesday it purchased 10.5 bitcoins (BTC-USD) and 300 ethereum (ETH-USD) tokens for a total of $2.6 million as it strengthens its treasury position.

Cryptocurrency now totals around 43.6% of the company's treasury holdings, it said.

The company said it also recently approved allocating up to 50% of its treasury to cryptocurrencies.

Shares of the company rose 4.6% during after-hours activity.
