06:51 AM EDT, 09/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) announced Wednesday that it was awarded a $9.8 billion contract for Patriot missiles by the US Army.

Under the contract, the company will produce 1,970 Patriot Advanced Capability - 3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptors and associated hardware.

The contract is the largest ever for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, the company said.

The company further said that it is continuing to ramp up production of the missiles to meet increased demand and is expected to deliver more than 600 interceptors in 2025.
