04:36 AM EDT, 09/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) said Tuesday it has entered a teaming agreement with Tata Advanced Systems for further collaboration on potential business opportunities through the C-130J Super Hercules tactical airlifter.

The agreement provides a framework to establish a maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in India and expand C-130J manufacturing and assembly in the country.

The company said the Indian Air Force is "actively seeking to acquire up to 80 medium transport aircraft" after issuing a request for information last year.
