08:08 AM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) , Raytheon (RTX) and General Dynamics ( GD ) are among China's list of 12 companies being sanctioned for involvement in the US military-industrial complex, media reports said Wednesday.

The move was in response to the US "indiscriminately imposing unlawful unilateral sanctions on a number of Chinese entities on the basis of so-called Russia-related factors," the ministry said, according to reports.

The companies' sanctions include freezing their assets in China and banning their senior executives from entering the country, reports said, citing the Chinese foreign ministry.

China added that the US has also violated its 'One-China' principle by continuing to sell arms to Taiwan, reports said.

None of the companies immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
