08:57 AM EDT, 08/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Logitech International ( LOGI ) co-founder and chairman emeritus Daniel Borel on Monday urged shareholders to find a new board chair this year, following Wendy Becker's announcement that she will not seek reelection in 2025.

In an open letter to shareholders, Borel proposed that board member Guy Gecht be chosen as chairman at the upcoming annual general meeting. He said Becker's decision to step down next year indicates that she "seemingly has little left to contribute to Logitech ( LOGI ) as it faces urgent and existential challenges."

Logitech ( LOGI ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares of Logitech ( LOGI ) fell 4.5% in recent premarket trading.
