Loncor Gold Says "No Impact" From Goma Unrest, as Drilling at Adumbi Continues; Comes After Shares Slumped 18.75% Today

04:35 PM EST, 01/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Loncor Gold ( LONCF ) , which saw its shares slump 18.75% today, after trade Monday reported that operations and logistics for its Adumbi gold exploration project remain unaffected by the recent developments in the city of Goma, which is about 746 kilometres southeast from Adumbi.

It said two drill rigs continue to drill the Adumbi deposit with the aim of furthering the resource towards the company's 5 million oz target.

Loncor is a Canadian gold exploration company focused on the Ngayu Greenstone Gold Belt in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
