Engineering giant, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), on Wednesday reported 14% percent jump in net profit to Rs 1,213.07 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal.
It had a net profit of Rs 1,065.54 crore in the first quarter of last fiscal, 2017-18.
The company's total income from operations stood at Rs 28,283 crore during the April-June quarter of 2018-19.
It was Rs 23,989.79 crore in the year-ago period, L&T said in a regulatory filing to BSE.
The company won new orders worth Rs 36,142 crore at the group level during the quarter ended June 30, 2018, recording a growth of 37 percent, with pick-up in domestic ordering activity during the quarter.
International orders at Rs 9,404 crore constituted 26 percent of the total order inflow.
The consolidated order book stood at Rs 271,732 crore as at June 30, 2018. International order book constituted 23 percent of the total order book.
