07:16 AM EDT, 06/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lufthansa Chief Executive Carsten Spohr thinks aircraft delivery issues will not be resolved before the end of the decade, Reuters reported Friday, citing Spohr.
The carrier ordered 250 new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing ( BA ) , with deliveries scheduled between 2024 and 2029, the report said.
"No plane arrives on time," Reuters quoted Spohr, who spoke at the business press club in Stuttgart late Thursday.
Spohr estimated that aircraft shortage could cost Lufthansa around 500 million euros ($535 million) a year, according to the report.
