08:09 AM EST, 03/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- LyondellBasell (LYB) said Monday it has approved an investment to expand propylene production capacity at its Channelview Complex near Houston.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

The company intends to start work on the project in Q3, with an estimated startup in late 2028, it said, adding that the new unit will convert ethylene into propylene.

LyondellBasell shares were up 1.5% in recent premarket activity.
