08:21 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- MAC Copper ( MTAL ) said Thursday that the Royal Court of Jersey has approved Harmony Gold Mining's ( HMY ) proposed acquisition of the company.

MAC Copper ( MTAL ) said it will submit a copy of the court's orders with the Jersey Registrar of Companies on Friday to make the deal legally effective.

In May, MAC Copper ( MTAL ) signed a binding agreement for Harmony Gold to acquire all its outstanding shares through a scheme of arrangement under Jersey law.

Shares of MAC Copper ( MTAL ) were up 0.2% in recent premarket activity, while Harmony Gold was up 3.6%.
