06:35 AM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Magna International ( MGA ) late on Monday said it won a contract to deliver a reconfigurable seating system to a Chinese original equipment manufacturer.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The seating system, which will be manufactured at a Magna facility in China, offers fully rotating front seats along with long rails to provide a flexible layout for more in-cabin space, Magna said. Mass production for the Chinese market is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter.

The company's shares rose 1.5% in Canada yesterday and traded down nearly 1% on Tuesday in the U.S. premarket.
