08:12 AM EDT, 10/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Main Street Capital ( MAIN ) said Thursday that in Q3 it originated new or increased commitments in its private loan portfolio of $270.3 million and financed total investments throughout the portfolio with a cost basis of $309.3 million.

As of Sept. 30, the company's loan portfolio contained total investments worth roughly $1.90 billion across 92 unique borrowers, the company added.

The portfolio, as a percentage of cost, included 4% invested in equities or other securities and 96% invested in first-lien debt investments, Main Street said.
