09:17 AM EDT, 05/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mainstreet Equity ( MEQYF ) said on Friday that it is investigating a cybersecurity incident that targeted its internal systems.

While the company believes that the incident has not affected its operating platform, it is working with third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate the matter and bring its internal systems back online safely and securely.

Additionally, the company is looking to determine if any data has been compromised in the incident. Mainstreet said it will inform individuals if it finds that their data was compromised.

"The investigation into the cause and scope of this incident is ongoing, and we will provide updates in respect of this situation as they become available," Bob Dhillon, president and CEO of Mainstreet, said in a statement.
