KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Malaysia has asked Meta

Platforms ( META ) for an explanation after its prime

minister's Facebook post on the assassination of Hamas leader

Ismail Haniyeh was removed, the communications minister said on

Thursday.

Minister Fahmi Fadzil, speaking at a regular press

conference, said Meta had yet to respond.
