08:45 AM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mandalay Resources ( MNDJF ) , which lost 3.5% yesterday, on Wednesday highlighted results from its regional target testing drill campaigns about 6 kilometers to the southwest of the Bjorkdal Mine.

The company said it drilled 26 holes and 6,295 meters of diamond drilling to test high-priority regional targets near the mine. The company intercepted high-grade gold in multiple holes at Lapptjarn including one long interval.

Among the highlights from Lapptjarn, the company reported 5.3 g/t of gold over 7.05 meters in LP-6; and 8.6 g/t of gold over 0.70 meters in LP-12.

From Granholm, the results included 14.9 g/t of gold over 0.5 meters (ETW 0.38m) in GH-2, the company said.
