The brand was launched during COVID-19 but started registering growth in 2022. Currently, the products are available online on Mangalmay (own website), Nykaa Fashion, Pernia's pop-up shop, Aza Fashion, etc. Whereas offline, it has a presence in cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Patna, Dhanbad, Mumbai, etc., at multi-designer stores.

By the end of this financial year, the brand plans to sign up 20 more MBOs.

Shobhit Mangal, Co-Founder of Mangalmay said, “We want to create relatable pieces and each piece of fabric that is used in the creation of the apparel is sourced from artisans. We want to create a pool of talented artisans, where they get to showcase their skillset and in return, we help in improving their livelihood."

Aashta Mangal Co-Founder of Mangalmay said, “There is an increased demand for various Indian art forms and hand-crafted apparel. Any business cannot only focus on profits while ignoring the holistic development of the weavers and artisans. By signing these MBOs the products created by these artisans will get a bigger market and will generate more employability for them.”
