07:18 AM EST, 11/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Manulife Financial ( MFC ) ) on Monday said President and Chief Executive Officer Roy Gori will retire, effective May 8, 2025. Phil Witherington has been appointed as his successor.

Witherington was chief financial officer for five years until his appointment to his current role as President and CEO of Manulife Asia.

Gori will serve as an advisor through Aug. 31, next year.

Manulife is unchanged at US$32.66 in U.S. premarket trade.
