04:52 PM EST, 01/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Maple Leaf Foods ( MLFNF ) after trade Thursday said it made new executive appointments and organizational changes to align with its updated strategic plan.
The company said it has streamlined its top two layers and made certain leadership changes. Mike Yang will join as chief supply chain officer on Feb. 3. He replaces Iain Stewart, who is retiring in May after over 35 years at the company.
Josh Kuehnbaum, with over 25 years at Maple Leaf Foods ( MLFNF ), is now senior vice president of Customer Business Development (Canada). Ryan Walker is the new SVP of Poultry. He replaces Ben Brooks, who is retiring in May after a 21-year career at the company.
"With the stage set for 2025 to be a transformational year, we are advancing our Fuel for Growth initiative, with the prime objective of putting the structures in place for success, including streamlining our leadership team, creating clear accountabilities, and sharpening our competitive edge," Chief Executive Curtis Frank said.
Maple Leaf shares closed up $0.11 to $21.67 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
