Nov 5 (Reuters) - Marathon Petroleum ( MPC ) reported a
lower third-quarter profit on Tuesday as the top U.S. refiner
took a hit from weak fuel demand which shrunk refining margins.
Net income attributable to the company was $622 million, or
$1.87 per share, in the quarter, compared with $3.28 billion, or
$8.28 per share, a year earlier.
