08:01 AM EDT, 05/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Marimaca Copper ( MARIF ) on Thursday said the latest drilling results from the northern extension of the Pampa Medina Deposit at the Marimaca project in Chile confirms the material extension of the sediment hosts "manto-style" mineralization.
Hole SMD-01 was drilled to a final depth of 950 meters with assays pending from 600 meters to the bottom of the hole.
Highlights from the upper section of SMD-01 include 242m at 0.65% CuT (total copper) from 252 meters, including 68 meters m at 1.20% CuT from 298 meters.
"The scale and intensity of mineralization at Pampa Medina Norte continues to impress us. We now think the system has good potential for stacked mantos which, based on our review of historical drilling data, could be extensive across the broader Sierra De Medina project area," said Sergio Rivera, vice president, exploration.
