09:52 AM EDT, 06/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Accenture ( ACN ) has trained 500,000 staffers to use generative artificial intelligence amid booming AI consulting work, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing Accenture ( ACN ) Chief Executive Officer Julie Sweet.

Sweet told Bloomberg that sales from generative AI have risen to $2.6 billion in the last six months, up from $300 million in the first six months after Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI launched ChatGPT in 2022.

Sweet said two-thirds of the company's UK staff have been trained to use generative AI, according to the report.
