03:59 PM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) Chief Executive Officer Lisa Su said chips produced for her company by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing's ( TSM ) Arizona plant will cost 5% to 20% more than similar parts made in Taiwan, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.
AMD expects to receive its first chips from the Arizona facility by the end of the year, Su said, according to the report citing her remarks at an AI event in Washington.
TSM declined to comment, and AMD did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
