10:52 AM EST, 11/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alaska Air Group ( ALK ) resumed contract talks with the Association of Flight Attendants last week with a new proposal from the union and a federal mediator, the Seattle Times reported Friday.

The union, which represents 6,900 Alaska Air ( ALK ) employees, rejected a tentative three-year contract with the airline in August with a majority citing pay concerns, the report said.

second mediation session scheduled in Dec. 17-19 and a third on Jan. 7-9, the report said.

Alaska Air Group ( ALK ) and the Association of Flight Attendants didn't immediately respond to requests for comments from MT Newswires.
