07:02 AM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) unit Google's ( GOOG ) planned $32 billion acquisition of cybersecurity firm Wiz is under US Department of Justice review to probe whether it would illegally restrict competition in the marketplace, Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Officials in the DOJ's antitrust division are investigating the deal, the unnamed sources told the news outlet. The review is in its early stage and could last for a few more months, according to the report.

Google ( GOOG ), Wiz and the Justice Department did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment on the matter.
