07:42 AM EST, 01/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) is facing a second complaint from the US National Labor Relations Board, or NLRB, over its role as a "joint employer" of a group of Accenture Flex workers, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing the labor board.
According to the report, the NLRB deemed Google ( GOOG ) as a co-employer of about 50 Accenture Flex workers in content creation who voted to join the Alphabet Workers Union in 2023. This requires Google ( GOOG ) to bargain with the union and makes the company liable for any labor law violation, Reuters added.
Google ( GOOG ), the NLRB, and the Alphabet Workers Union did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
