03:36 PM EDT, 03/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) has entered the consumer humanoid market by acquiring Fauna Robotics, a New York-based startup, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Amazon ( AMZN ) closed the Fauna transaction last week and did not disclose any financial details, according to the report.

Fauna has about 50 employees who will join Amazon ( AMZN ), while the company will continue deploying its humanoid robot Sprout to researchers, Bloomberg said.

Amazon ( AMZN ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
