Market Chatter: Amazon Close to Using More Robots Than Humans in Warehouses

06:48 AM EDT, 07/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) is close to having as many robots as human workers in its warehouses, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing internal company data.

The e-commerce giant has reportedly deployed more than 1 million robots across its facilities, nearly matching its warehouse headcount, according to the report.

Roughly 75% of Amazon's ( AMZN ) global deliveries now involve robotics in some capacity, the WSJ reported.

Amazon ( AMZN ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
