11:52 AM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) Amazon Fresh is ending grocery delivery in the UK cities of Glasgow, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Leeds and Newcastle at the start of June, The Grocer reported Thursday.

Depending on the area, customers in those cities can still shop with either Morrisons, Co-op and Iceland or a combination with Amazon.co.uk used as a storefront by those supermarkets, the report said.

"Amazon Fresh online delivery and physical stores will continue to serve customers in many other parts of the country including London and parts of the south east, Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester," an Amazon ( AMZN ) spokesman said, according to The Grocer.

Amazon ( AMZN ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
