Market Chatter: Amazon, Stellantis Agree to End Collaboration on In-Car Software

08:43 AM EDT, 05/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon's ( AMZN ) and Stellantis ( STLA ) have mutually agreed to end their collaboration on an project for in-car software called SmartCockpit, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a statement from the two companies.

"Stellantis ( STLA ) remains a valuable partner for Amazon ( AMZN ), and the companies continue to work together on a range of initiatives," the report quoted the two companies as saying in the statement.

Stellantis ( STLA ) can potentially continue the SmartCockpit project with another operating system such as the Android platform of Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ), Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Amazon ( AMZN ) and Stellantis ( STLA ) did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
