07:20 AM EDT, 08/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) updated Alexa will be powered by Anthropic's Claude artificial intelligence models, rather than the company's own Titan AI, Reuters reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The report said Amazon ( AMZN ) plans to charge $5 to $10 per month for the upgraded "Remarkable" version of Alexa when it is unveiled in October while offering the ordinary voice assistant for free.

Amazon ( AMZN ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
