08:09 AM EST, 11/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) more than 14,000 layoffs announced in October impacted engineers the hardest, CNBC reported Friday, citing the e-commerce giant's Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filings.
The job cuts affected various software engineer levels, but SDE II roles, or mid-level employees, were disproportionately affected, the report said, citing the filings.
The layoffs impacted over 500 product managers and program managers, while senior manager and principal level roles were also eliminated, the news outlets said, citing the WARN filings.
The company also eliminated roles from its video game division, CNBC said, citing California WARN filings.
Amazon ( AMZN ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
