09:26 AM EDT, 04/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) has refused requests from some of its wholesale suppliers in recent months to increase what it pays for their inventory, forcing companies to swallow higher tariff- and oil-related costs and, in some cases, reduce what they sell directly through the online shopping retailer, The Information reported Tuesday, citing people who help consumer brands manage their relationships with Amazon ( AMZN ).

Amazon ( AMZN ) didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
