12:26 PM EST, 11/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Artificial intelligence startup Anthropic has raised its most optimistic growth forecasts by up to 28% over the next three years, projecting revenue of up to $70 billion by 2028 from about $5 billion this year, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a person with knowledge of the company's financials.
The company expects its growth to be driven by rising enterprise demand for its Claude AI models delivered via application programming interfaces, according to Bloomberg.
Backed by Amazon.com ( AMZN ) and Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ), Anthropic expects to become cash flow positive by 2027 and generate up to $17 billion in cash in 2028, the report said.
Its September funding round raised $13 billion at a $170 billion valuation, nearly triple its valuation in March, and Anthropic could target a valuation between $300 billion and $400 billion if it raises another funding round, the report said.
The upbeat forecast signals greater use of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, which provide the servers powering Anthropic's AI models, and suggests the company's 2025 API revenue could nearly double OpenAI's, Bloomberg added.
Amazon.com ( AMZN ) and Google ( GOOG ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
