Market Chatter: Apollo, EDF Negotiate Financing for UK Nuclear Power Plant

11:40 AM EDT, 10/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Global Management ( APO ) is engaged in discussions with Electricite de France to finance the company's nuclear power plant in the UK, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The Hinkley Point C project is under construction and Apollo is negotiating a complex mix of equity and debt worth billions of pounds, the report said. Other interested investors include Centrica, it added.

Apollo, Electricite de France and Centrica did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
