11:23 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Global Management ( APO ) is exploring a sale of AOL after receiving inbound interest, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

A deal could value the internet brand at about $1.5 billion, though talks may not result in a deal, the report said.

Apollo acquired AOL in 2021 as part of a $5 billion deal of AOL and Yahoo from Verizon, according to the report.

Apollo Global Management ( APO ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
