Market Chatter: Apollo Global Affiliate Athora, Blackstone-Backed Resolution Life Eye Viridium Acquisition

02:41 PM EDT, 07/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Global Management ( APO ) affiliate Athora and Blackstone-backed (BX) Resolution Life are among the suitors who expressed interest in buying Cinven-backed Viridium Group, Bloomberg reported Friday.

Viridium, a German life insurance consolidator firm, is also expected to draw interest from investment firm Sixth Street, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

Goldman Sachs and Fenchurch Advisory are serving as Cinven's advisers for the sale of Viridium, which could be valued at more than 3 billion euros ($3.3 billion), the report said.

Apollo, Athora, Cinven, Sixth Street, Goldman Sachs and Fenchurch Advisory did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment. Blackstone and Resolution Life declined to comment.
