08:44 AM EDT, 10/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Global Management ( APO ) is discussing a potential acquisition of Barnes Group ( B ) in a deal that is likely to value the aerospace components manufacturer at more than $45 per share, Reuters reported Thursday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Barnes is negotiating granting exclusivity to Apollo, and if talks are successful, a deal could be signed in the coming weeks, the report said.

A transaction is not yet guaranteed as another suitor may still emerge, Reuters reported.

Both companies did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
