05:41 PM EST, 01/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Global Management ( APO ) is seeking to trade on a private debt deal backing Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup xAI, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Apollo has informed other lenders that it is willing to buy more of the $3.5 billion chip financing at par, according to the report.

The debt was used to finance xAI's access to Nvidia's ( NVDA ) graphics processing units and other data center-related infrastructure, the report added.

Neither Apollo nor xAI immediately responded to MT Newswires' request for comment.
