03:13 PM EST, 11/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Global Management ( APO ) has offered to fund a portion of the New York Sun owner Dovid Efune's 550 million pound ($690.1 million) takeover bid for the Daily Telegraph, Sky News reported Tuesday, citing sources.

According to the report, the firm has held initial talks with Efune and his advisers on a potential deal.

The report cautioned the discussions were preliminary and there was no guarantee they would lead to an agreement.

Apollo and the New York Sun did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
