06:52 AM EDT, 06/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) executives Adrian Perica and Eddy Cue held internal talks about a potential bid for artificial intelligence startup Perplexity AI, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing unnamed people with knowledge of the matter.

The talks are at an initial stage and may not lead to an offer, the report added, citing the sources.

"We have no knowledge of any current or future M&A discussions involving Perplexity," Perplexity said in a statement to Bloomberg.

Neither Apple ( AAPL ) nor Perplexity AI immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
