07:40 AM EDT, 10/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is facing a complaint filed with China's market regulator alleging abuse of its market position by restricting app distribution and payments to its own iOS platform on iPhones and iPads, Reuters reported Monday.

The report cited a lawyer as saying that a filing to China's State Administration for Market Regulation by 55 Chinese Apple device users accuses the company of maintaining a monopoly over app distribution in China while allowing alternative payment methods and app stores in the European Union and US.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
