03:28 PM EST, 12/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) allegedly monitored its workers' personal devices and iCloud accounts and prohibited them from discussing their pay and working conditions, Reuters reported Monday, citing a complaint filed in California state court.
The complaint claims that Apple ( AAPL ) requires employees to install software on personal devices that gives the company access to their email, photo libraries, health and smart home data and other personal information, according to the report.
The complaint was filed by an Apple ( AAPL ) employee Amar Bhakta, who works in digital advertising, the report added.
The lawsuit lacks merit and company employees receive annual training on their rights to discuss workplace conditions, an Apple ( AAPL ) spokesperson told Reuters.
Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
