01:24 PM EST, 11/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) was fined 3.6 million rubles ($36,810) by a Russian court for refusing to remove two podcasts with prohibited content, Russian state-owned news agency RIA Novosti reported Tuesday.

The podcasts had "information aimed at destabilizing the political situation in the Russian Federation," the report said, citing the Tagansky Court of Moscow.

Apple ( AAPL ) didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
