02:33 PM EDT, 03/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) has received telecommunications permits for five of its iPhone 16 models after a government ban that was implemented last year, Reuters reported Friday, citing the country's communication ministry.
Apple ( AAPL ) still needs import authorization from the country's trade ministry to start selling the products locally, Reuters cited the ministry as saying.
Telecommunication certificates were issued for iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, Reuters said.
Indonesia banned iPhone 16 sales in October due to noncompliance with its rules on the use of locally made components, according to the report.
Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
Shares were up 1% in recent trading.
